I love kids movies

Really, I just fucking love kids movies and I adore Dr. Seuss. I cannot wait to see The Lorax. I have heard nothing but raves about this movie and I know it is going to be amazing. I am thinking about taking my best friend and her kids with me. They never get out to the movies or anything as she is a single mom and really can’t afford it. I figure it will be a nice treat for the kids and I really love them a lot. I hope she says yes and doesn’t allow pride to get in the way. Not that I will let her, but it would be easier if she just says yes.

I like doing things for her kids. They are really well behaved and whenever we do go somewhere they are so happy. I know that they will totally love this movie, after all it is a kids movie. The Lorax is about and industrialist who is ruined by his own destructive greed. It is a perfect tale for the environment at this time. We see so much destruction because of corporations that do not care about our environment.   I hope this helps to bring awareness as it is meant to.

NetFlix

I just have to have my Netflix. I have my computer wired to my TV and I can rout what ever movies I want to watch straight to it. I can also get entire TV series from them too. I have been watching Netflix for as long as they have been online. It is quite frankly the cheapest way to watch movies out there. Oh I know there are other sites like Hulu and such, and I have used them a time or two, but they just aren’t my flix.

Tonight I am going to find the sappiest chick flick I can to watch. I picked up a box of tissues and some pop corn and soda just for the occasion. My next door neighbor is single too and she will come watch with me as she always does. We have gotten to be really good friends. I have actually thought about asking her to share my apartment when her lease is up, because hers is way smaller then mine and she is always here anyway. We could both save a bit of money that way, if we split the bills. We shall see though, because I don’t want to rush into anything right now.

Transformers – not the cartoon of years past

Filed under: movies — sara @ 11:30 am

I finally got out to the movies and got to see Transformers. Not my first choice, but Billy was insistent and demanded that the movie we should see would be Transformers. I remember the old cartoon and that is kind of what I had expected. I must say I was blown away. The effects and animations were nothing like the old TV cartoon. The action was great and I was amazed that at times I forgot I was watching an animated film.

The violence was also a bit more than I expected, although now that I look back I think it had a lot to do with the sound, it was intense in the theater. I am glad that I got to see this in the theaters.. not sure I would recommend it to my nephew – I’m not sure he would be able to handle all the destruction in this film – perhaps it should be 13 and up only..

fix8 changes your webcam face to anything you want

This is one of the wildest fucking bits of technology I have seen in a while. The demo looks awesome. You can select and or customize all kinds of animated faces to have on your yahoo messenger or other IM. You have got to see this shit! Make yourself look like a roman warrior, or anime character, or even g busch and make movies with it? This is going to be a lot of fun, I hope it spurs some new viral videos, and a very cool way to posssibly make my new graphic novel!

I am going to play with this thing this weekend and see if I can get a new video on hot video stream!

how to kiss well – video

Filed under: movies — sara @ 12:05 pm

This video loaded up in  my browser and I immediately thought, oh what kind of comedy is about to be stremain gto my computer video card. Then I was treated to a well done video, with good information (that I wish more men would learn), and it was also made to be funny in some parts, while still teaching people some of the issues to consider when kissing someone. Of course there is no substitute for practice in the kissing department, but the lessons in this kissing video tutorial are certainly a great place to start before going on a kissing practice session. Kissing video from video jug.

Sara Connor

Filed under: movies — sara @ 12:02 pm

When I cam home the other day I walked into friends watching the old terminator movie and I was reminded about how creepy it was in that first terminator movie to have them serial killing girls names sara. Yeah, the last name was different, but it made me think about what it would be like to see people with your own name being murdered in the news, and how the movie was played out like a strange horror movie for parts of it. I had completely forgotten about this aspect of the terminator movie. I had always remembered the war of the robots and Arnold killing people, not the mini creepy murder mystery in the story line.

The Sara Connor character was quite well played in all the Terminator movies, and I really enjoyed the last one much more than the first, which is really outdated to watch today.
